Autumn Morning Light
Look! The ground fog is lifting.
The orange-red sun has risen to an acute angle.
A tree stands in front of the sun,
its symmetric branches bearing only a few scattered leaves.
The fog, as it rises through the branches,
scatters and diffuses the sunlight
into white beams of God-light.
A halo of misty light spreads
from the spaces between each of the branches,
as if the tree itself were the source of the light.
